What is interesting to note is the introduction of the Assembly of the People – a sort of house of Commons in the UK whilst the Senate would have been a sort of House of Lords. An added point of interest is on the right hand side of the diagram: the Roman military have a voting house of their own called the “Assembly of Centuries” through which they can influence the election of the three highest levels of Magistrates.
